About
I’ve been drawn to photography ever since I was a kid, playing around with my dad’s ancient film cameras, his digitals from the 2000’s, and one day I decided to pick his camera up and put it to work in high school. It started with soccer games, which became basketball, track, rowing, and suddenly I wasn’t just shooting sports, I was shooting families, baby showers, and important moments to people.
I joined Whitman’s student publication during this time, and became the director of our photo department. Now heading to Maryland in the Spring, I plan to pursue a business degree for the rest of my college career.
The essence of photography isn’t the art of action – it’s the art of observation – you need to understand the moment to capture it. So, when I pick up the camera, I’m always thinking about how to capture an experience beyond the single moment in front of me.
